Amazing food and service. I felt so lucky to have found this gem! I came a few minutes after opening time and the carpark and restaurant were already full. Filled with locals. Not invaded by tourists. Did takeaway and had to wait 45mins for the food to be prepared. We just went to the museum and shops nearby for a walk and came back after. The wait was worthwhile. The lady who served me was able to speak English so ordering food went like a breeze. Very smiley and very patient even though the restaurant was very busy. You can call and reserve unagi in advance so you won't miss it.

Tomoe's eel! Personally, it's my favorite thing I've ever eaten♪ It's really delicious! What a luxurious time to have a drink while eating seasonal food with eel! ! You won't be able to reserve a time, so you'll have to wait a little bit, but I think it's worth the wait and it's not a problem at all. I want to eat it again 😅 Visited after a long time! I arrived just before 9am and was the 6th person in line. This eel is always delicious♪ This is one of my personal favorite eel.

During the Christmas vacation, we were traveling by car in the Kanai-Hakone area and wanted to find an eel restaurant. Unexpectedly, we came across this restaurant. Although the enthusiastic waiters didn't know much English, they worked very hard to help us understand how to eat, which is worthy of praise. We arrived at about 12:30 and waited for 30 minutes to be seated. We were happily arranged to be seated in a Japanese-style room. The environment was very comfortable. After we sat down, we discovered that this restaurant has one Michelin star. 20 minutes later, the delicious eel rice was served. My eyes were immediately attracted to the meals on the table, and I couldn't help but take pictures of them. It melts in the mouth and has a rich aroma of roasted fish oil. It is paired with soft and moist rice without leaving a grain of rice behind. We were amazed. Later, a Japanese family of six came to have a meal in the back room. The four children were very cute and played with us. The atmosphere was very warm. After the checkout, the waiter gave us a small gift, which was really nice. Maybe we were tourists, which made it very unforgettable. I think we will definitely come back to taste it.

It's said to be the best eel restaurant in Kanagawa Prefecture, and reviews have overwhelmingly praised it, but personally I didn't think it was that good. I ate unaju, but the eel was so soft that I didn't feel like I was eating unagi. Are the only requirements for delicious eel being ``melting'' and ``soft''? It's out of the question for the eel to be hard or have small bones, but I wanted it to retain at least the texture of the eel. My impression after the meal was that it was like ``fu'' soaked in eel oil and sauce and placed on top of rice. The staff's service is good. However, it is questionable to make customers wait for more than an hour under the cold winter sky. Shouldn't we build an extension and create a waiting room? The atmosphere is a normal eel restaurant. It would be nice if there was a new incense on the menu.
